Braces come in various forms and various materials are used for making them, too. Here are some of the common material options:

• Stainless steel – the material is used in metal braces and preferred for its low costs, flexibility and resistance to corrosion. Stainless steel braces consist of wires that wrap around the back teeth and brackets that rest on the individual teeth.
