Halloween is a time for spooky and for costumes, a time when any creative idea is welcome. If you are wearing braces and you want to make them integral parts of your costume, here are a few tips for you:
- Pick a nerdy costume – there are lots of nerdy characters with braces in cartoons and in movies – just think of Darla from Finding Nemo. Choose one of these characters, your costume will surely be a success;
- The Tooth Fairy herself – can you think of a better costume that transforms the braces into a symbol?
- Costumes inspired by the tools used by Lakewood orthodontics offices or for tooth cleaning – dressing up like a toothbrush or a giant toothpaste is great fun;
- Put on a black costume – black clothes with a black wig and black accessories create great contrast with shiny metal braces. While in everyday life you would probably want to avoid emphasizing your braces, for Halloween, a shiny mouth contrasted by black garments is a great idea;
- Liza Simpson – she did not wear her braces for too long, but she did have them, so if you like her, you can easily dress up like the Lisa in that season of the cartoon.
